Wiener Rauschen enables expeditions to the origin and the end of sound and image. Current impulses from the world of sound and art will be presented over three days in three venues in Aspern Seestadt, in order to explore the rustling primeval phenomenon together.

The Festival Wiener Rauschen is concerned with the varied work of artists who deal with the phenomena of noise in image and sound. The German-language title was deliberately chosen because "Noise" has many negative and disturbing meanings and connotations, although it is the official term for the broad range of musical work in this field. This noise is manifold and ranges from noise to visual stylistic elements.
